Embark on a dance journey like never before at our Young-Artist Intensive – four immersive days dedicated to refining your skills. Open to dancers aged 5 and up, this intensive offers the unique chance to learn from professional artists from the Greater Houston Area. Indulge in a diverse range of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tap, and Audition sessions, all while honing essential techniques like Leaps, Turns, Flexibility, and Strength. Tailored to ensure individual growth, dancers will be grouped by age and skill level for a personalized experience. Ballet | Performance Skills

Holda Torres

Holda commenced her training in Mexico City under Paloma Zepeda Novelo's guidance, initially in the Cuban technique and subsequently transitioning to the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) program. Besides classical ballet, Holda possesses proficiency in various dance forms such as Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Flamenco, Capoeira, and Mexican folklore.

Throughout her career, Holda refined her craft under the guidance of esteemed Master Teachers such as Laura Alonso, John Magnus, Thom Clower, Jennifer Mabus, Firat Özsoy, and others. She also collaborated with renowned choreographers including Jairo Lastre, Paula Weber, Joe Iste, Rocio Braggiato, and Lauren Garson, spanning various dance styles.

Holda participated in the Glenda Brown Choreography Project at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, contributing as both a dancer and a choreographer. Her choreographic pieces have been selected for performance in the RDA Southwest Festival and featured on the Stars of Tomorrow tour in Europe.

Holda completed her Certificate for Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) Program in 2014 under the mentorship of Rocio Braggiato, transitioning to become a Royal Academy Certified Teacher (R.A.D TC 797370).Further enhancing her qualifications, Holda completed the Progressing Ballet Technique certification. She is also recognized as an ABT Certified Teacher, Pre-Primary-Level 5. Holda also recently completed the Bolshoi Ballet Historical Dances teacher training course.

    Maya Parker

    Maya Parker is an emerging choreographer, performer, and Fall 2022 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.F.A. in Dance. She attended Kinder High School for Performing Arts, training in Modern and Ballet under Janie Carothers, Courtney D. Jones, and Adrian Ciobanu. She is currently working as a dance assistant and freelance teacher/choreographer. Maya plans on continuing to build her dance brand and eventually working towards being an established performer and choreographer.

      Molly Harris

      Her dance journey began at Machita Dance Company in Port Allen, LA, where she transitioned from student to teacher. She toured with Tremaine Dance Conventions and Competitions from 2013-2017. In 2019, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earning several prestigious scholarships. Her passion for dance has led her worldwide, from studying in South Korea and Germany to performing with renowned companies in Las Vegas and Chicago, including Cirque du Soleil and the Martha Graham Dance Company. Molly's teaching philosophy centers on confidence and authenticity, ensuring all dancers feel supported and empowered in her classes. Throughout her career, Molly has had the opportunity to work with artists including: James Jeon (Korea National Sport University), Ari Mayzick (Martha Graham Dance Company), Louis Kavouras (Erick Hawkins Dance Company), Taylor Bradley (Cirque du Soleil), Alex Yonkovich (Cirque du Soleil), Allison Burke (Cirque du Soleil), Miguel Perez (Giordano Dance Company), Annie Franklin (Archangels Chicago), Jimmy Weeden (Organized Chaos), James Gregg (Rubberband Dance), Jessica Deahr(Chicago Dance Crash), Daniel Williams (Purus Motus), Katy Tate (creative producer), Joe Tremaine & Faculty, and more.

        Cece White

        Director of American Jazz Dance Company, non-profit, nationally recognized dance troupe. 40+ years’ experience in our community as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer in all styles: ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, tap. Many of her students became career dancers: THE MUPPET MOVIE/screen productions; back-up dancers for Janet Jackson, The Black-Eyed Peas, and more; Rockettes; Dallas Cowboy/Houston Texan Cheerleaders; Disney parks; cruise lines. Choreography awards from Dance Olympus, Showstoppers, Tremaine, LA Underground, LA DanceMagic, LA Dance Force, New York City Dance Alliance, Jump, NUVO…To her credit: Walt Disney’s “Donald Duck’s Birthday Celebration” in Houston, Galveston Festival on The Strand, Houston Festival, Woodlands Renaissance Festivities, Thanksgiving Day Parade, and many Klein HS Dramas. She led AJDC in 3 years of Walt Disney’s “Mickey’s Magical Gatherings”. Member of American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Education, Aerobic & Fitness Association of America, CEC certified instructor.
